Blade Runner is a 1982 neo-noir science fiction film set in Los Angeles 2018, directed by Ridley Scott. The movie depicts a dystopic, grimy landscape where a special division of cops called blade runners hunt rogue androids called replicants.

The screenplay, which was written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, is loosely based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. Telling a complex tale of what exactly makes us human. Facing that dilemma, along with answering the film’s central mystery… is Deckard human or is he a replicant?
